Nairobi ,13th September 2024
Against the backdrop of the Fifth Annual International Clean Air Day for Blue Skies themed ‘Invest in Clean Air Now‘ this event will highlight the importance of investing in data to drive effective clean air action.
The Clean Air Catalyst Program together with the NCCG, US Agency for International Development and World Resources Institute will today launch two air quality monitoring sites in the City namely Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital and the Fire Station on Tom Mboya Street.
These monitoring sites will support Nairobi City County to better understand the temporal and spatial variations of these pollutants from both waste burning and public transport.
Nairobi City will pilot this program and focus on monitoring particulate matter, black carbon and weather parameters in the two sites.
Great strides for the city in the Air Quality, management and monitoring sphere!
