Nairobi County Vocational Training Centers head to Eldoret for the 96th Kenya Music Festival

NAIROBI, 7th August 2024

Chief Officer for Early Childhood Education and Vocational Training, Mr. Ahmed Abdi flagged off 224 trainees from 8 no. Vocational Training Centers: Waithaka, Mathare, Jericho, Embakasi, Kangemi, Dandora Greenlight, Bahati and Old Mathari. These young men and women are headed to Moi Girls High School, Eldoret, to participate in the 96th Kenya Music Festival.

Music, as we all know, transcends boundaries, unites communities, and speaks the universal language of harmony and peace.”
96th Musicfest 4Mr. Abdi said participation in this prestigious festival is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion our trainees, have put preparing tirelessly, and now is the time to showcase their talents on a national stage, it is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build lasting networks with fellow participants from across the country.

The Chief Officer urged the participants to have confidence in their ability to bring back more trophies compared than last year.

Mr. Abdi appreciated efforts by Principals and the instructors for their dedication in nurturing and the trainees. He said, “Last year the team participated and entertained H.E. The President at a state gala in Nakuru state lodge. We expect more trophies and a larger another invite to the state lodge this year.”
96th Musicfest 7 1The Chief Officer told the participants to carry with them the pride of Nairobi County and the vocational centers they represent and the hopes of their communities. “Represent us with dignity, respect, excellence and fly Nairobi County Flag high. We believe in you, and we are confident that you will shine brightly.”

The Chief Officer was accompanied by Deputy Director Vocational Training Leonard Mititi, Assistant Directors Vocational Training, and Principals of Vocational Training Centers.
