A two-day forum on Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (OCSEA) is currently underway at the Boma Hotel, Nairobi. The forum is a key initiative aimed at addressing the growing threats of child exploitation on digital platforms.
Present are Director of Family and Children Services Mr. Robert Muema, Deputy Director of Children Services Mrs. Rosemary Kibathi, and Deputy Director of Family Welfare Mr. Fredrick Ogutu, alongside policymakers, legal experts, and child protection advocates. The forum stresses the need for a multi-faceted approach, involving legal reforms, technological advancements, and communal efforts to protect children from both physical and digital forms of exploitation.
