Nairobi City County Incumbent Chief Officer in charge of Mobility Dr. Machel Waikenda made a visit to the central garage in industrial area as part of an orientation meeting of the team to discuss ongoing projects and synchronize on deliverables as per H.E Governor Sakaja’s manifesto.
Dr. Waikenda who was recently reassigned to the Mobility sub sector, after changes were made by H.E Governor Johnson Sakaja stated that top of his priorities is to streamline operations in the garage, asphalt plant, repair emergency vehicles expeditiously and transform the central garage so as to enhance service delivery and deliver on H.E Governor Sakaja’s vision to make Nairobi a city of order, dignity, hope and opportunity for all.
Said Dr. Waikenda,”I want to emphasize that we have to focus on streamlining the operations in this garage, ensuring the availability of parts and quick turnaround for grounded vehicles as well as fast tracking the repair of emergency vehicles to better serve residents of Nairobi.”
The Chief Officer was accompanied by the Director mechanical services and fleet management Mr. Njogu, Deputy directors, engineers and transport officers from the mobility sector.
