County Chief Officer for Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Subsector Ms. Gladwell Cheruiyot in the company of the County Executive Committee Member for Business and Hustler Opportunities Dr. Anastasia Nyalita yesterday received and walked H.E the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua around the County agriculture demonstration plots showcasing climate smart urban agriculture technologies and innovations, at the ongoing Nairobi International Trade Fair at Jamuhuri show ground.
Some of the climate smart urban agriculture technologies and innovations being showcased includes wick gardens, multistorey gardens, hydroponics, green house farming, organic farming, vegetable and tree nurseries, livestock fodder farming, fish farming (), soil conservation and technologies amongst many others.
This year’s theme is Promoting Climate Smart Agriculture and Trade initiatives for economic growth.
Also, present were the County Chief Officer for Markets and Trade Ms. Jane Wangui, Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources Subsector Directors and other senior staff
