Nairobi to Reduce Water Deficit by 50% with New 200,000 Cubic Meters Water Transmission Lines from Kiambu, Set for September Commissioning

Nairobi City County is expected to close the water deficit gap by approximately 50%, following the completion of an additional 200,000 cubic meters’ water transmission lines in Kiambu County, thus enhancing Nairobi’s water supply.
Waterdeficit 4This was announced by the County Chief Officer for Water and Sanitation Services Mr. Oscar Omoke when he toured Kigoro and Karimenu water transmission lines in Kiambu County yesterday, in the company of the Managing Director, Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Eng. Nahason Muguna.

“The work is complete and it is expected that water transmission trials will be done in the next few days, with commissioning slated for September 2024.” Said Mr. Omoke
