On 24.5.2024 , Nairobi City County hosted a visiting delegation from Shouzhou City, Shanxi Province of the People’s Republic of China where possible areas of collaboration between the two Cities were explored.
Led by Director for Donor Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement, NCCG expressed its readiness to explore opportunities for collaboration, enhance trade and seek mutual development for the benefit of the people of Nairobi and Shouzhou.
He expressed Governor Sakaja’s commitment to establish friendship pacts with sister Cities in order to strengthen cooperation and exchanges in trade, technology, culture, science and technology among others.
Head of delegation for the City of Shouzhou City Director of the People’s Congress of Shouzhou Feng Yunlong expressed the desire for collaboration in science & Technology through Nairobi’s Vocational Training Centres especially in introducing ceramic technology for which the City of Shouzhou is known globally. The Secretary of Shouzhou ceramic Institute committed to pursue the course with Nairobi City’s Directorate for Technical and Vocational Training.
Present were Directorates (IGR), Records Management, TVETs, Legal and Finance among others.
