County Director Economic Planning, Geoffrey Sianga, welcomed the newly appointed County Chief Officer for Economic Affairs, Machel Waikenda, and assured him of the department’s full support.
Mr. Waikenda met with the economic planning team during a session to finalize the data collection templates for the County Statistical Abstract 2024. He commended the team for their dedication and assured them of his steadfast support in elevating the success of economic planning to new heights.
He urged the team to fully focus on the formulation of Nairobi Vision 2050, a key legacy initiative of H.E. Governor Sakaja.
“I have noted the key challenges facing the department, especially on staffing and office space, and I commit to ensuring these challenges are addressed. I encourage you all to embrace teamwork to enable the department to run effectively and meet all the timelines as guided by different legislation,” he said.
