County Executive for Innovation and Digital Economy Sector Mike Gumo today welcomed the new Chief Officer for Digital Economy and Startups sub-sector, Sande Oyolo.
Mr. Gumo emphasized the importance of teamwork, collective responsibility, and enhanced collaboration and communication. He reiterated the commitment made by H.E. Governor Sakaja to the residents of Nairobi and highlighted the need for a unified effort to achieve these goals.
Mr. Oyolo expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and shared his enthusiasm for his new role. “My transition has been seamless, and in the spirit of hitting the ground running, we have the upcoming Innovate Nairobi Tech Week 2024. I am extending an invitation to all Innovation and Digital Economy Sector officers to be part of this event, creating a synergy of all sub-sectors to ensure its success. I welcome everyone’s input to make it a successful event,” said Mr. Oyolo.
He also outlined some of the key projects he intends to undertake within his first 100 days in office, aiming to drive innovation and support for startups in Nairobi.
The event was attended by County Chief Officer for ICT Infrastructure sub-sector John Lintari, along with department and unit heads within the IDE Sector.
