Dandora Vocational Training Centre qualified to represent Nairobi City County at the Music Gala after emerging best folk song in that category at the National Music competitions that are being held in Nyeri County.
“Dandora VTC will be flying Nairobi County flag at the Finalist Gala that is set to happen at Nakuru High school on Tuesday 22nd August, 2023. The event was to take place at Dedan Kimathi University but has been moved to Nakuru County, this was said by Chief Officer Early Childhood Development and Vocational Training Mr. Ahmed Abdi when he flagged off the team to travel to Nakuru.
This year’s annual festivals is taking place at the Dedan Kimathi University of Science and Technology between August 11 and 21 under the theme Nurturing Talent for Innovation and Development. This is the 95th edition of the National Music Festivals.
The Kenya National Music Festivals organizing committee confirmed that more than 130,000 students from public and private schools as well as Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) Centres took part in the annual event.
The participants who qualified in the regional festivals have been battling for top positions in different categories in Nyeri county from August 12th. The presentations will run through to August 22nd 2023 when we will have the Gala.
The State concert which is the closing event will be held on August 23rd 2023 at the State lodge, in Nakuru County.
