Sakaja spearheads seamless transition. Promises to make Nairobi work

Nairobi City County Governor, Sakaja Johnson and his Deputy Njoroge Muchiri held a briefing session with Director General of Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) Lt. Gen. Mohammed Badi and his team that has been managing the transferred functions(Health, Roads, Lands and Environment).

The Nairobi Governor has spent a better part of this week meeting with sectoral heads for Nairobi City County.  The sessions are being used to brief the Governor and his team on the various functions and responsibilities of respective sectors, milestones and challenges in regards to Nairobi County.

Said Governor Sakaja, “I want to first commend the NMS for a good job done over the last two years. Transitions have alot of uncertainties. I want a seamless transition process, my priority is to ensure that Nairobi residents continue to receive services because I have  their best interests at heart. We have to make Nairobi work by restoring Order and offering our people dignity. Nairobi is full of opportunities and we owe Nairobi residents that much.”

Nairobi Metropolitan Services Director General, Lt. General Mohammed Badi promised to oversee a smooth and transparent transition.
