The Nairobi County Public Service Board(NCPSB) kicked off the recruitment exercise of over 3,000 Environment Personnel at the Joe Kadenge stadium (City stadium).
A total of 4,000 shortlisted candidates presented themselves for the interviews. “This recruitment is one of Governor Sakaja Johnson’s promises of ensuring opportunities for all through employment especially for the youth.The successful candidates will be deployed across the 85 Wards within Nairobi to aid in beautification, sweeping and garbage collection with the sole mandate of Making Nairobi Work. “Said, Mr. Ibrahim Otieno, County Chief Officer for Environment.
Mr. Thomas Kasoa, the Board Chairman, said the recruitment is slated to continue next week at City Hall for the positions of Chief Environmental Officers, Environmental Officers, and Clerical Officers. The county is also set to employ 1,000 constables.
