Nairobi Ward Administrators Urged to Champion Effective Service Delivery and Community Engagement

Nairobi, 30th November 2024

Nairobi Ward Administrators have been called upon to ensure they execute their mandates effectively and efficiently to Nairobi residents.

“Boroughs, Administration, and Personnel Sector is a critical component of Governor Sakaja’s government, and I cannot over emphasized the critical roles played by Ward administrators in ensuring effective service delivery across the county.” Said Stephen Mwangi, County Executive Boroughs, Administration and Personnel Management during a meeting with Ward Administrators.

Mr. Mwangi outlined several plans aimed at enhancing service delivery, including efficient garbage collection, flood mitigation measures, and rehabilitation of roads.  Additionally, the County Executive announced plans to introduce ceremonial uniforms for Sub-County and Ward Administrators to symbolize authority and enhance their visibility in their areas of work.

County Chief Officer for Boroughs and Sub-County Administration, Mr. Bernard Muia Kiala echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the county’s commitment to equipping administrators with offices and necessary tools to improve efficiency. He also encouraged Ward Administrators to meet regularly to address the needs of their ward residents and align their efforts with the H.E Governor Sakaja’s manifesto.
