Nairobi Disaster Management Staff Unite for Productive Meeting: Focus on Enhancing Efficiency and Service Excellence

Nairobi City County Chief Officer in charge of Disaster Management and Coordination, Mr. Bramwell Simiyu, held the long awaited meeting with over 400 staff drawn from Fire and Rescue, Disaster Risk Reduction and Disaster Ambulance Services, at the Kangundo Road Fire Station and Training School.

The meeting was characterized by honest and candid discussions which took stock of the performance of the department in the recent past and explored measures that can enhance its efficiency and productivity, in line with H.E Governor Sakaja’s pledge to create order, bring hope, enhance dignity and generate more opportunities for the residents of Nairobi County.
Dms1The Chief Officer Mr. Simiyu said “I want to convey H.E the Governor’s appreciation to the staff for your hard work and dedication in the pursuit to save and protect lives and properties of Nairobians. I understand that for over 15 years members of staff in the Fire and Disaster Management have not had a general staff meeting, I assure you we will be having subsequent similar meetings and I want to urge you to remain dedicated to your duties and observe a high level of discipline and integrity as you sought to make Nairobi work.”
Dms4The Chief Officer was accompanied by Ag Director Fire and rescue services Mr. Brian Kisali, Ag Director Disaster risk reduction Mr. Amos Olali and Deputy Directors serving under the sector.
