Nairobi County’s Micro Small and Medium Enterprises hosts Strategic Partners- Move aimed at accelerating Business Stimulus Program Implementation Program will ensure equitable benefits across all wards, with a provision of Kshs 50M per ward

The Business Stimulus Program implementation will soon be a reality as the Micro Small and Medium Enterprises department held a pivotal meeting with two key strategic partners, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) – Financial Partner and Institute of Certified SIYB Trainers (ICST) who provided Capacity Building Partner to discuss its implementation.

“The much-anticipated Business Stimulus Program will provide a platform for Nairobi business holders to unlock their economic potential. The partner meeting brought together influential stakeholders to chart the path forward for the program and to fast track the signing of the contracts which will facilitate the program implementation”

Said Dr. Anastasia Nyalita, Nairobi County Executive, Business and Hustlers Opportunities.

“The Terms of Reference (TORs) for each partner to ensure clarity in roles and responsibilities have already been laid out as well as roles and responsibilities for all program partners involved; Nairobi City County, KCB, and ICST. These critical partners will converge to develop a unified work plan for the program’s rollout, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. “Said Julius Karina, Director, MSMEs.

Dr. Anastasia Nyalita said the Stimulus program, which is strongly embedded in Governor Sakaja’s manifesto and pillar of Opportunity provision for all.

“This initiative is a testament of our dedication to supporting MSMEs in Nairobi. By partnering with esteemed institutions like KCB and ICST, we aim to create sustainable opportunities and an enabling environment for businesses to thrive, particularly in light of economic challenges that have impacted many entrepreneurs.  that will transform the county’s economic landscape and provide a platform for our youth and women to earn an honest living.  Governor Sakaja’s envisions to implement the disbursements of affordable credit through the ward-based program. This program will endeavor to ensure equitable benefits across all wards, with a provision of Kshs 50M per ward to support and empower local businesses.”

Present at the session was Ms. Eunice Kariuki, Director, Governance Delivery Unit (GDU), Collins Sikah, Assistant Director MSMEs, Victor Ogondo, Assistant Director Donor Coordination and Engagement, Committee members, MSMEs officers, and representatives from the strategic partners KCB & ICST.
