Nairobi 29th July 2025

Nairobi City County Government yesterday flagged off members of the County Transport and Safety Committee(CTSC) to commence a pedestrian safety awareness campaign running from 28th July to 1st August 2025, with an aim to tackle the high number of pedestrian fatalities in the city.

Eng. Moses Kuiyaki, the County Director of Public Transport, said that the 5-day awareness campaign will focus on public education and enhanced traffic enforcement to improve pedestrian safety in high-risk zones across the City. ” By bringing together key transport stakeholders, the campaign aims to reduce road fatalities through a shared responsibility and long-term behavior change. Said Eng. Kuiyaki.
