Nairobi County’s Mobility and Works sector has completed the laying of asphalt concrete on the 300-meter Mfangano lane stretch in the lower CBD.
“This is part of road repairs and rehabilitation works that have commenced. Works to soon commence on;
Haile Selassie Service Road (near Agip petrol station, Loita street/ Utalii lane, Moi Avenue service road and outbound towards Globe.” Said Ibrahim Auma, County Executive, Mobility and Works.
Nairobi Governor Sakaja Johnson recently reassured city residents of his administration’s commitment to rehabilitate the city’s roads, which have gone without repair for months.
Governor Sakaja revealed that the County Government, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, had agreed to allocate funds to repair all roads under the jurisdiction of the County, Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), and Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA).
