The County Executive Committee Member Roads, Transport and Public Works Mr. Hitan Majevdia 29th November, 2019 held a consultative meeting on transport matters with representatives of the World Bank at City Hall.
The World Bank team led by Ms Akiko Kishiue and its lead Transport specialist Mr Josphat Sasia were briefed by the County Chief Officer Roads, Transport and Public Works Engineer Karanja on the mechanisms that the County Government has put in place to address transport challenges in the city.
The World Bank hailed the County Government on its integrated approach in solving transport problems.
To build a cohesive collaboration in the transport sector, the County Government will share information on Commuter Rail Transport, Non Motorised Transport, Boda Boda Transport and Land Use Planning with World Bank representatives.
Mr Majevdia was accompanied by the County Chief Officer Mr Halkano Waqo and other senior officers from the Roads and Lands sectors.
