A momentous collaboration unfolded between the Nairobi City County Government and PCEA Kahawa Farmers Church during their Expo Sunday. This event provided a remarkable platform for the Disaster Management sector to shine.
The day commenced with a service, featuring a panel interview where the Chief Officer of Security and Compliance represented the County Government. The church leadership expressed their gratitude for the involvement and support received from H.E Governor Sakaja since assuming County Leadership.
Following the service, the Church Minister officially inaugurated the Expo, marking the beginning of an exciting showcase. The event brought together various sectors, with a special focus on the Disaster Management sector.
The Disaster Management sector took center stage, utilizing ample space to exhibit their comprehensive mandates, including Disaster Risk Reduction, Disaster Response, Fire & Rescue, and Ambulance Services. They impressed the public with their skills and showcased various tools used in emergency situations. The exhibition stand attracted a significant number of visitors, including many schools that expressed interest in partnering for risk reduction programs.
In addition to the Disaster Management sector, other sectors such as Health Services as well as Security and Compliance, also set up exhibition stands. They actively promoted their services to the general public in Roysambu, Kahawa ward. This collaborative effort aimed to raise awareness and demonstrate the crucial role played by the Disaster Management sector in safeguarding the community.
