Nairobi, 12th February 2025
The County Government has conducted a mid-term assessment of its Performance Contract (PC) for the period of July to December 2024. The review has evaluated progress in various sectors, reflecting the County’s commitment to fostering economic growth and improving service delivery.
As Sectors presented their achievements as per activities outlined in the performance contract document, they were urged by the Performance Management team to Improve on service delivery, transparency and accountability to ensure that their goals are aligned with H.E Governor Sakaja’s Agendas.
“Performance contracts provides clarity on what is expected and offers opportunities for growth and development. It also allows a shared understanding of what is expected and ensures that both parties are aligned to the overall County goals.” Said Mr. Godfrey Akumali County Secretary and Head of County Public Service through a statement.
“We have plans to conduct massive sensitization of Directors on performance Contract to ensure that the county can position itself for success, meeting and exceeding basic service standards and revenue targets for the benefit of its resident.” He further stated.
Performance contracts not only promote transparency but also foster a result oriented culture. Regular monitoring and evaluation ensures progress is tracked with necessary adjustments done in good time for better outcomes.
The County remains dedicated to completing ongoing projects and achieving its set targets in the remaining contract period to foster a thriving business environment in Nairobi.
Present in the exercise were; CECM for Business and Hustler Opportunities Dr. Anastasia Nyalita, County Attorney Ms. Christine Ireri, Chief Officers and Technical team. The Performance Management Directorate spearheaded the exercise lead by Festus Macharia, Director.
