Nairobi 10th September 2019.
The Nairobi city county executive committee member for Devolution and Administration Mr. Larry Wambua on 10th September 2019 chaired a meeting in the county’s committee Room that included the World Bank Staff and consultants.
The World Bank is conducting joint County field visits. The principal entry point will be service delivery starting with how devolution has (or has not) made a difference to the daily lives of Kenyan Citizens.
Mr. Larry Wambua gave an overview of the study, the nature of participation requested and the nature of technical discussions and data/information that will be sought from key informants.
This will be followed by technical discussions with various County stakeholders.
The chair of the delegation emphasized that the principle entry will be five key Sectors that will be analyzed namely Health, Water, Education, Agriculture and Urban Services.
The team intends to visit Sub Counties, wards, actual service facilities and investments. During the field visits, group discussions will be held on the opportunities for strengthening service delivery.
Mr. Wambua assured the team of county’s maximum cooperation.
