Nairobi County Executive Committee Member in charge of Green Nairobi Mr. Ibrahim Auma today spearheaded issuance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the green Army which took place across all the Sub- Counties.
The County Executive Committee Member said the PPEs including foot wear and protective masks will go a long way in providing the environment support staff with the necessary protection from materials that could be hazardous to their health.
Mr. Auma called on the staff to remain committed to their duties, promising to do his best to support them in carrying out their job
“Your safety is very paramount. We want to ensure that you are protected against exposure to environmental health hazards in line of your work.” Said the Green Nairobi Executive Committee Member.
Mr. Auma also urged the staff to maintain team work and uphold integrity in performing their work
Mr. Auma was speaking at Lady Northey Health Centre where he issued the PPEs to the Dagoretti North green army staff. The same exercise took place in all other Sub-Counties led by the Environment Sector heads.
