Agricultural Society of Kenya(ASK ) has registered its sincere gratitude to H.E the Governor of Nairobi City County Mike Mbuvi Sonko and his Administration for the support and cooperation that has ensured success and popularity growth of Nairobi International Trade Fair(NITF).
This was in a meeting held today between the Nairobi City County Executive Committee members for Agriculture Ms. Pauline Kahiga, Roads and Transport Dr. Hitan Majevdia, ICT &E- Government Mr. Newton Munene and ASK Nairobi branch team in preparation for the upcoming Nairobi International Trade Fair.
The Agenda of today’s discussions included Nairobi City County’s engagement with ASK in seeking to better foster relations and the key areas of partnership identified were in the areas of Communication (Billboards) & Publicity, Roads rehabilitation both within the show-ground and the major roads in its environs (Kibra Road, Cemetry Road & Jamuhuri Showground Road), Public Lighting (street lighting) of internal and external roads at Jamuhuri Show-Ground and its environs, possible waivers for planned road shows/flyers and approvals of the construction master plan.
Discussions also touched on progress and status update of the ongoing construction of a modern mega exihibition hall set to be commissioned at this years’ NITF.
ASK further acknowledged that during Governor Sonko’s regime, there has been no outstanding unpaid sums. The Society greatly appreciated H.E Governor for ensuring pledges to settle County debts accruing from the prior mis-managed administration were on course to being fulfilled and the outstanding debts settled.
The trade fair is expected to take place from 30th September 2019 to 6th October 2019.
