By considering the value of time consumed by our clients while acquiring different business related licenses from different offices, NAIROBI CITY COUNTY GOVERNMENT introduced a Unified Business Permit (UBP), which consolidates all the requirements for running a business within the County.

This is a one-stop source whereby, after acquiring your UBP, you will have paid for Single business permit, fire Clearance Certificate, Advertising Signage (300mm by 600 mm or less), Health Certificate, and Food Hygiene.

 APPLICATION PROCESS

STEP 1

  1. Log in to the eJijiPAY portal.
  2. Select Unified Business Permit Category
  3. Fill in the Form
  4. Confirm Information
  5. Make Payment

STEP I:  TO REGISTER eJijiPAY Account 

  1. Log in to epayments.nairobi.go.ke
  2. Click sign up and fill in the details requested i.e.
  3. first name
  4. last name
  5. email address
  6. phone number
  7. Create wallet Pin
  8. Click on Register 

STEP II: HOW TO TOPUP 

Option I: M-Pesa

Follow this to top up with M-Pesa

  1. Go to M-pesa
  2. Lipa na M-pesa 
  3. Select Pay Bill
  4. Enter business number: 147147
  5. Enter account number which is your phone number e.g. 0722xxxxxx
  6. Enter amount 
  7. Enter M-pesa PIN

You will receive a confirmation message from M-pesa.

OPTION II: Airtel Money

Follow this to top up with Airtel Money

  1. Go to airtel money
  2. Select make payments
  3. Select pay Bill
  4. Select Other
  5. Enter business name: 147147
  6. Enter amount and confirm the details
  7. Enter airtel money PIN
  8. Enter reference which is your phone number e.g. 0722xxxxxx

OPTION II: Large Amounts

You can either top up online via Visa card or Master Card, visit the following Banks:

a)  Co-operative

b)  Family  

c)  CFC  Stanbic  Bank.

 

OPTION 1: Visa

Follow this to top up with Visa

  1. Select currency
  2. Enter your card number
  3. Enter CVV
  4. Enter your card expiry date
  5. Submit Payment

OPTION 2: MasterCard

Follow this to top up with MasterCard

  1. Select currency
  2. Enter your card number
  3. Enter CVV
  4. Enter your card expiry date
  5. Submit Payment

OPTION 3: OPTION III: TOP UP YOUR ACCOUNT VIA RTGS AT CFC STANBIC BANK

Follow these simple steps

  1. Bank name: - CfC Stanbic Bank
  2. Account name: - JAMBOPAY TRUST
  3. Account number: - 0100004299714
  4. Branch: - Head office (001)
  5. Reference: - 07xxxxxxxxxx (should be the mobile number of the wallet being topped up).

STEP III: HOW TO PAY 

Log in to epayments.nairobi.go.ke 

  1. Sign in using your phone number & e-wallet pin 
  2. Click on Unified Business Permit menu, select the service to pay for and fill in the details required
  3. Confirm the details before submit
  4. Once you confirm the details are correct, enter your wallet pin to make payment and print form and Receipt.
