Workers get trained on digital payment platform

 -Nairobi City Government's  journey to automate all its revenue streams to enhance accountability and eliminate corruption took a head start  as hundreds of its workers were trained at Jericho Social Hall, Makadara Subcounty on the use of the digital payment platform.
Nairobi City County Governor Mike Sonko has emphasized that there will be no cash collection by Nairobi City County Government staff.
The Governor on Tuesday revealed that the County's revenue collection has increased by 100 per cent  daily to Shs 38.2 million from Shs 7 million after the County stopped use of cash transactions. The collection was from 14 revenue streams which have been digitized
.
The following Payment channels will be used with immediate effect;

1. Bank agents (Co-op kwa jirani)
2. Jiji pay using USSD *217#, APP on play store or IOS Store OR online payments via epayments.nairobi.go.ke
3. Through jambo pay system at any Co operative bank branch country wide, or Jambo pay Agents 
4. Co-operative bank branch in the following accounts;
