Sonko condemns hooliganism in demonstrations  in the city

Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko 11th Tuesday, 2017 condemned the National Super Alliance (NASA) demonstrators for causing mayhem and destruction in the city.

In his Facebook post,  the Governor said,  "Whereas it's a constitutional right for every Kenyan citizen to picket, the looting and destruction of property and even loss of innocent lives is abhorred by our constitution.  I condemn the hooliganism being portrayed by some of the NASA supporters in the name of peaceful demonstrations, with the strongest terms possible."

Governor Sonko said that residents of the city need a peaceful environment to carry their daily businesses, hence they should be spared of these demonstrations which have continued to impact negatively on our economy.
