NASA is stronger than Jubilee in Nairobi, says Kidero

Dr. Evans Kidero 5th July, 2017 exhibited confidence in retaining his sea and his NASA coalition triumphing Jubilee in all elective positions in Nairobi in the forthcoming August general election.

Terming NASA as the strongest coalition in the city, Dr Kidero said that the coalition has a backing of 55% of the  2.4 m registered voters in the city,  after the IEBC expunged dead voters from the register.

The Governor was addressing a delegation of the European Union Election Observation Mission Kenya 2017 who paid  him a courtesy call at his City Hall office. The Union’s delegation headed by Mr Ralph-Micheal Peters is in the country to observe the 8th August election.

The governor told the delegation that his campaign agenda is driven by development, public participation, inclusiveness and cohesiveness of all residents of the city.

Refuting fears of the delegation that there was tension build up in some areas in the city, the governor said that the unrest is based on social issues rather than political, adding, “I was in Mathare yesterday and the isolated  tension reported was not connected to campaigns. it was rather social based."
