Kidero gets Kiambu backing for his second term

Nairobi Governor, Dr Evans Kidero 17th March, 2017 met with Kiambu Kikuyu elders who assured him of their total support in his quest to retain his gobernatorial seat in the August, 2017 election.
The Kikuyu elders led by their Chairman, Patrick Waweru urged the Agikuyu community to support Kidero's re election so that he may complete his ongoing projects.
Dr Kidero pledged to have a cordial working relationship with all communities living in Nairobi and protect Agikuyu business.  Said Governor Kidero "About 500,000 people come from Kiambu to Nairobi on a daily basis to transact business in Nairobi County. We share investments, we are neighbours and I promise to deliver quality services to all residents." 
The Governor also pledged to fight land cartels and insisted that Nairobi has no time for ethnically driven politics.
