Governor Sonko launches monthly Clean up exercise in the city.
Nairobi 7th July 2018.
Nairobi City County Governor Mike Sonko today launched a monthly clean-up exercise at Kayole North primary school.
The exercise which took place in all 85 wards in Nairobi, brought together leaders, county staff and area residents. While addressing the big crowd at Kayole, the Governor said this exercise will take place every first Saturday of the month to bring the city back to its lost glory.

Other countries like Sweden, Norway, Morocco and our neighbour Ethiopia have done it and it is possible for Nairobi to do it too. We expect to break ground in December 2018. Said the Governor.
TheĀ  County executive for Environment Mr Larry Wambua said that environment function has been devolved to the wards to ensure a clean environment which is good for all.
